I would like to get these style wheels from Pro Comp. Currently the OEM wheels on my truck are 16x7. I would like to go a little bigger to say a 285. I like the look of the wheels on SkyJumpers Expy but he went with a 16" and a 305 tire and he says he had to buy spacers which I dont want to do-

What would be a good width for a 17" wheel to run a 285/70 or 75
Also what is the bolt pattern for our trucks?

Nevermind about the bolt pattern, online is says its 5x135
Also I am thinking 17x7-8" rim
It looks like they come in 17x8 with a 4.5" backspace, what would that looklike as far as the depth of the dish

jay, when it comes to running 285's, either a 7 or 8" rim will work. The question is how much "curling" of the tire do you want. do you want the tire to look square on the truck or have a slight over curve where the tread is wider than the rim? That is the question you want. If you are contemplating a 315 (aka, 12.5" wide tire), then going with an 8" rim now will save you from having to get new rims then too. Either way, sticking with 4.5" of backspacing is going to be key. If you want an idea of what the new rims are going to look like, take your current rims and imagine the front of the rim sticking out an inch more than it does with the 8" rims. If you get 7" rims, then you will be seeing what the new rims are going to look like.

if you have more questions, let me know. You can not go less than 4.5" of backspacing with bigger tires without adding a spacer else you will have rubbing issues. I had rubbing issues at full lock with my 12.5" wide tires. But, I corrected that with an angle grinder on my truck.

As was said before a 315 with no lift looks somewhat redneck so I am thinking a 285 on a 17x8 rim with a 4.5 backspace, maybe just a torsion crank. I have searched Pro Comp's website and cannot find the centercaps to go with their wheels.
