WIndow scratching issue

Just had my windows tinted about a month ago, about a week ago i started getting a screeching noise when the driver side window is about 3/4 of the way up and it is scratching the hell out of the window tint. Any way I just wanted to check on here before I tear it apart to see what the hell is causing it. Thanks for any suggestions or ideas. Oh btw it's an 04 Eddie Bauer.

Perhaps when they did the tint they dropped something down there? I don't know for sure though? I personally would take it back to them and show them before I took anything apart... could be a mistake on there part but if it was a month ago I doubt they will do anything. Worth a shot though.....

I agree. If they are a reputable place, they will fix it if it is there fault.

where on the window is it scratching? pics?

It's about 10 inches from the rear of the drivers side. It starts at the bottom and goes about 6 inches up.

sounds like the window stabilizers need replaced..the felt is prolly wore & inturn scratching the window/tint

Ive had an 05 and 06 and I've had the EXACT same problem in the same place on BOTH of my trucks. I could never find the culprit or could the stereo shop or either of the tint shops.

Yeh, OP doesn't say what year Expy he has, but if it's an older one the felt stuff is probably worn out and it's now rubbing metal to glass
