I have a 2008 EL and want some window visors, obviously. Now the question is do we like in channel more than stick on? I like the look but heard about window problems with them, it seems my 08 has the slow roll up thingy and would like to not er um help that out. Any experience or comments would be appreciated.

WeatherTech makes a pretty decent product for the in-channel window splash guards and i don't think they hinder the ability of the window to roll up too bad but for stick-ons I'd go with AVS, I have them on my truck now and they aren't too bad... I prefer the WeatherTechs but just haven't switched yet.

I prefer the in-channel type. I had them on my Mountaineer for 9 years and never had a single issue with them or the windows. The fronts were still intact when I sold it a few months ago. The rears would have remained intact as well if not for an incident involving one of my dogs. I left him in the vehicle while I ran into a convenience store. He tried to follow me through the rear open windows. They weren't open enough for him to make it out (he's 85 lbs), but damned if he wasn't going to try.

FWIW, mine were AVS.

I like the look of in-channel...bought a set...but mine didn't stick well in the inside and I had probs with the window hitting the visor and it broke on the driver side...I would do it again if I could get it right...other than that I'm going outside the door and painting them to match the truck
