I've never had a windshield on any vehicle replaced, just looking for advice about the best route to take. My deductible is $250 on comprehensive, so it looks like this will be out of pocket. Safe-lite wants $209+tax to do it. Is there a more efficient route to take?
I'm not even sure what happened... there were no cracks/chips or anything in the glass... it snowed a couple of inches last friday, I drove to work, after the snow melted I noticed a huge crack (About 18 inches) across the top of the windshield on the passenger side. The only thing that I can think of is that the host defrost & snow covered windshield didn't mix.
