We bought our used 2006 Expedition Limited YESTERDAY, no warranty. Everything was fine. We had heavy rains last night and did drive through some major puddles. This morning it takes 4 or 5 turns of the ignition for it to start. The dash lights up...you hear no cranking or clicking. But by the 4th or 5th turn it starts like normal. Any ideas? Did something get wet? THANKS!

update:
I have to turn the ignition key 4 times to the start position (engine does not crank, but I can hear the fuel pump and the relays start) then on the 5th turn the motor cranks and it fires right up. EVERY time...could this be some security or alarm issue??

I put the key in and turn the ignition...then I'll go back to accessory and turn again...ect. I've also tried taking the key out and inserting it back in and get the same results, it fires up by the 4th or 5th try...

maybe bad batter or alternator...i think my starter is going it...or alternator...take 4-6 turns on the engine before it cranks...but if its warm/running for a minute...no probs...brand new battery...

Turns out it's an AFTER market security feature...I'm supposed to push a 1 on an extra keychain that was thrown in the vehicle before I turn on the vehicle. GO FIGURE! Would have been nice to know before leaving the dealership! Thanks for reading everyone!
