My trim (the plastic which runs around the base of my truck) is black (painted aftermarket in matte black which I love) but is beginning to fade and chip and white is showing through. Think If I did it up with this plast-dip everyone's raving about it would hold?

I plastidipped all my trim and my wheels on my Expy, and my Jeep. No problems. Been 2 years, and it's holding up great.

Only thing is that it might not perfectly match your other matte black paint. I did what Lane24 did and dipped my rims and trim. Holding up fine on mine as well. Its cheap and easy to remove if it doesnt work, I would say give it a try.
