WTB 2001 4.6 romeo

Im in need of a 2001 expedition engine its a 4.6. Miles dont matter to me as long as it runs good and the price is right. i am very curious how hard the 5.4 swap would be. is it a bolt in type of swap i am mechanically inclined and have built some cars but i dont want the truck to be down i want to pull a engine put a engine in.if i have to move some wires no problem but if theres alot to it im not sure i want to do all that.

i think it bolts right up. wires should be the same but i think you will need to the cpu from the 5.4 and have it with your vin and a little modification for it to reconize that engine. i think. but almost everything on the 4.6 is the same on the 5.4 engine mounts i think are the same and itll fit no problem.

I am seriously considering selling my 4.6 and getting a 5.4. 98 model with 119k miles and does not miss a lick.
