I also came across the zip tie mod which I found very helpful and did it today.
If anyone doesn't know what it is it involves tightening slack on the throttle cable, they tend to stretch over time.
I noticed in my expedition that the gas pedal would seem to be low, and if I put my foot under it I could lift it up a good cpl inches but it would settle back down to the lower position after letting go. This always bothered me, not just on this vehicle but any higher milage vehicle with a cable actuated throttle usually experiences this to some degree, at least it's always been that way for me.
After tightening up the slack the pedal is all the way back up to it's original position like when it was new and the gas pedal feel is much more pleasant, and responsive.
Also it didn't cost a penny so it's something within reach of everyone.
I'm assuming the zip tie mod? The pics I am posting right now are the pics from the link I found showing how to do the mod. I actually didn't do it the way it shows in the pics, i think that the f150 in the pics is a different generation because the throttle area looked a bit different, and there isn't enough of the engine showing for me to identify the engine.Do you have any pictures of this that you could post?
