You can get them from any auto parts store.. think they are about 6-7 bucks or something or you can make your own out of wire hangers... just bend them

I've done the coat hanger trick and it does work. You have to make sure they are pushed in far enough. once they are in you push out on them and pull the radio out. You might have to do one side at a time, that's how I did it last time. it actually is much easier with the tools though, I just could not find mine and needed to get the radio out.

I got my Ford radio tools at Walmart in the auto section. They were $2.99. Also make sure you are not putting the tools in too far, I have seen many people make that mistake also. They should go in slowly until you feel an almost click like sensation. Then move both tools toward the outside and the radio will slide right out.

I got it out. I just wanted to make sure that all the plugs were connected and they are. I am troubleshooting the subwoofer/amp. I have narrowed it to the amp because I get 12vdc and 5vdc on the input plug to the amp and I get nothing on the output connector side of the amp.

The tool works much better, trust me. Having something that size break in there is horrid. Talking from experience. For the 7 bucks CAD I'd pay here it'd be worth having.

no doubt, that is a valuable tool to have. I will look into getting one. Where did you get yours?
