I thought fog lights are ONLY to be used when there is fog outside hence the name "fog light". No need to have them all the time on.

they help when there's fog by lighting up the ground since your beams go out...per driving instructions...you are to look at the edge of road down on the ground in these situations...they arent limited to fog conditions...

Some people just like the look of them on, while others, like myself, appreciate the wider spread of light.

i like the look of them...ESPECIALLY since i have retro headlights...i ride with my halos and fogs on in the morning...and evening when its light enough to where i dont need my head lights...FLOSS'N!!! BOSS!!!

On the second gens don't both the driving and high beams run when the high beams are on? I know the fogs turn off but they are kind pointless with my high beams anyway.

i believe they do...not sure...fog are good as he stated to also give you a wider illimunation of the road...even with HIDs...i have HIDs in my fogs

After researching the net upside down & left to right, The verdict says no Bambi Mod for the 2007+ Expeditions nor the 2009+ F150's. Ford flipped the script on everyone. The High Beam and Fog Relays are definitely "non-serviceable", meaning they're internal to the Smart Junction Box (SJB) (The guts of the Fuse Box located by the Kick Panel Front Passenger side)

In other forums I've read one guy's theory where he would cut the Fog Lamp related wires at the SJB and rewire them thru two 5-Pole Relays. Then again it's just a theory. Click Here if you wanna take a look.

The only solution I could come up with so far is the BRITEBOX FOGSTER 8.5.12, sold at several online stores including Amazon. Cost is about $100. I think thats the route I'm gonna take.

In your research, did you come across the method of what to do on the G2 Expy's for this mod?

I had a Taurus SHO in the past, and it was as simple as cutting one of the wires on the fog light switch, and pairing it with another one on the same switch...

Wait does bambi work on an 04 expo?

if you have fogs...why not just pull the know out for the fogs...you already have to turn the lights on...doesnt make it that much easier where its an unnecessary step...im just saying

I think his idea is to have the fogs stay on with the high beams. I'm pretty sure they turn off when the high beams are on.

I dont mean to smash anyone's dreams about keeping their fog lights on with their brights, but I do know that it is illegal in some states (including mine) to have other lights on with your brights. But its like running tinted windows, it all depends how bad the cops are in your area of living whether they will get you for it or not. Just thought I would throw it out there.

It seems that Ford design does not know that some owners live in the desert southwest US. We do not have fog....we DO have deer and we need the fog lights one with high beam. With all the posts, is there any setting to accomplish this on a 2016 Ford Expedition LTD 4x4?

I want to leave the switch on auto pulled out with and get fog lights on with high beam....

@Duane Krohn check the forscan thread. You’ll need to get a usb(preferred) or Bluetooth OBDII unit and download forscan and register for free trial on your laptop. It is called Bambi mode, there’s a spreadsheet that shows you the manipulations you have to make. Lots of other cool things you can do like adding remote start, too. On my truck Bambi mode actually leaves all three lights on, fog, low, and high. Not sure if that is what was meant because all I’ve read said it only kept fogs on with highs. Pretty fun to tinker around with it overall.
