I like mine. Rented a 2013 navigator when I was building my house a few times in AZ. I really wanted a navigator but it's basically the same as my limited besides the exterior look
...... OK.... maybe that's not such a good idea.
lol....
Someone with a 3rd gen Expedition needs to loan it to me for a couple of weeks so I can vote.
I would treat it as if it were my own....... OK.... maybe that's not such a good idea.
I would drive it very responsibly, Honest!!lol....
And if you were ever curious as to what it runs in the 1/4 I can let you know upon its return....![]()
I agree with the above. The only thing I wish was different was engine options. It's time to offer the Eco-Boost, the 5.0 and possibly a Diesel
God help us if they put the eco-turd in these. They need to slap the 6.2 in these and move on. With GM's new '15 Denali and Caddy coming with big power ford has to step up their game.

The LAST thing the Expy needs is an option that gets WORSE gas mileage. The 6.2 makes great power, but sucks at the pump.
At least the Eco-Boost tried to fix the MPG issue
Big horsepower does not mean big fuel consumption. Case in point again the QX. 400+ hp and 2 mpg better fuel economy. Corvettes, regularly achieve 28+ mpg on the highway cruising.
I agree. But the motors you are talking about are not those motors. The 6.2L gets WORSE! The Corvette gets great mileage... but it is a Sports Car, not a large SUV. Apples to Oranges. Ford consistently gets the WORST mileage in the segment.
your thoughts are all wrong but that's ok. I can assure you the 6.2 will get better fuel economy, it's a matter of laws all other things being equal.
My 07 EB EL 4x4 has been generally rock solid hauling our minions (+ friends at times) from Maine to FL for many years. I've seen 18-20+ on the highway loaded up.
Can't ask for anything more than that.
I think about the only thing I would change is the instrument panel. I don't much care for all of the big chrome bling around the gauges and I would move the temp and fuel gauge where the useless oil pressure and volts gauges are located.
Everyone posting about the 6.2 says 13 mpg. I've heard numerous reports saying 10mpg. My 5.4 gets 16 ALL DAY.... in the city. So... As far as I see it, I am not wrong. The 6.2 is a worse option.
