Hey guys,
Bought a expedition Eddie Bauer 4x4 5.4 last night for 1500. Has 216k on the clock still drives like a new truck. It needs a couple things major one is new shocks. The front is bouncy and rolls a little too much on turns. Second problem is the AC Evap needs to be replaced or something with a filter. The driver seat needs to be reupholstered has a few tears.

Took her out mudding and did great. Except I tore off some rubber piece behind the front bumper. Do I need it? If so,where can I get it?

Planning on lifting it and putting 33s or 35s on.

Boys and their toys. Nice pics sitting outside of a BAR.
I would think there is a reason for the rubber pieces otherwise FORD would have left them off. Check out the junk yards.
Not much damage for having it less than 24 hours but I wonder what you will do to it in a weeks time.

the rubber piece is there for redirection of air flow to the radiatior, transmission cooler, and powersteering cooler. They are there for a reason. However, good luck finding one in a junk yard in good shape. they usually are destroyed when they remove other parts.

Yep. It's all about airflow into the radiators.

When I bought mine, that rubber piece was hanging straight down. No idea how long it had been like that. I reconnected it. It still drives like it did before.

You will love doing the evap swap. While in there swap the heater core. Once you have the dash off you will understand.

Haha, the gas station is literally in the same parking lot... I actually take great care of my trucks. I rarely go mudding. It's once in a blue moon.

Funny thing was when I going home with my buddies. A cop next to me at a light said,"You in the Expedition, you need to wash that thing, it's filthy."

I've got a brand new pair of motorcraft shocks for the front. I am selling them at less than half of original price. Send me a personal message, so we can talk, Moose.

You could always kill the Bilstein order, or send them back.

Put the new shocks on today. What a difference! The first shocks I bought were too short. The overall length of the first shocks were 15 1/2inches. Trade those in and bought the coil overs. Threw out the air ride suspension that were leaking pretty bad. While I had everything off I did the pads and rotors, bushings, and swaybar links. While I was doing the driver's side caliper. The brake line was so rusty that it snapped like a twig. Picked up the new part. It was for the passenger side went back to a different store and bought the driver's side. You can see that I put a vice grip on to stop the line from leaking brake fluid everywhere.

New shock:

Old air ride shock:
