Can I put seats from a 2010 into a 2008? Looking to swap cloth for Leather and get rid of my bench seat in the front. I don't know if its the mounting that's different between years or something else

Looking to know if the bolt holes and airbag connector are the same

I'm answering because no one has yet... I believe 08 and 10 should be almost exactly the same as far as the seats/interior goes best way is to just look at some pics

Isn't the chassis the same for those years? If so then you shouldn't have a problem swapping everything out.

Thanks....Well I just bit the bullet. Picking up a complete grey leather interior out of an 2010 for 700 including console, belts, etc. From what I've read I'll have to forgo the heat/cool and memory function on the seats and do a little wiring but I can handle that.

The problem lies in that car-part.com and even katzkin show different parts between the 2007/2009 and 2010-201x models. Hoping its just wiring and not physical bolting.

Since I havent seen a full post on the addition of the 3rd row I might as well just document the swap for others.

Howd you hook up the driver seat power? What wires did you tap on second harness?

I had to cut the wires on the seat at the little computer. From there I used a terminal strip to connect the motor wires to the switch wires and it's working fine from there. Had to run a power and ground as well since there is only 1 large connector (plus airbag) on the truck

Which wires did you run to where?

RIght above the white and black square connector you get to cut most of the wires comming out of that box. IIRC i had to also cut most of the wires in either the white or black connector.

I've got the electrical schematic on my computer in my garage.

I hooked up all the switches to the motors (spliced wires from tan and dark plug to the fat wires in green plug), rang em thru with tester seems correct....but still no power.

There were two untapped wires left on the green plug, do I need to tap in a hot and a ground there???

Up front I hooked up my matching black big connector and left the white port unhooked since i dont have anything to plug in there

Also swapped over my pretensioner...and STILL get an airbag light.

Any ideas????? Plz help!

The two fat wires left from the green plug that seems to be the memory modules "output" are brown and white-orange....

Do i need to splice in power and ground here?

Look at the pic of the white connector. I spliced a red wire into the green wire on the white connector to give it power.
