Hello, Im new to the forum, glad to be a part.
Now, I am looking for many things for my truck and I will keep each one to their own separate post.

First off, I have had troubles with my electrical system since a friend tried to install an aftermarket radio in my truck, but forgot to disconnect the battery, and a bunch of wires touched that connect to the back of the radio unit.
Now here's the problems:
• Radio won't turn on at all(first few weeks, it would come on only to display "no disc")
• Windshield wipers (front&back) will not move, neither will the sprayers work.
• Auto door lock(after driving off) will not lock anymore like it did before the spark show.
• And lastly but not least, the battery gets drained pretty badly(never happened before the disaster)
The battery can die within 10 minutes of just having a door open.
(Will get a new battery, eventually)
I have checked ALL fuses, both under the hood, and under the driver side. They are all fine, all other lights and such works as well.
My issue is, I don't know where else to check, I don't want to go poking around places I have no knowledge of.
But my question(s) here is,
1. Where else can I check?

2. What could be the issue?

3. If any tools are necessary, which ones do I get for fair price?

I would greatly appreciate all feedback, as any little info will help in fixing this issue. And again, glad to be a part of the forum
I had this truck little over a year, and plan to keep it as long as possible.

Welcome to the site.

See the sticky in the electrical section about your battery going dead and another sticky on how to check fuses the easy way.

To troubleshoot electrical you will need a meter and test light.

What is your electrical knowledge on DC circuits? Can your read wiring diagrams?

Thanks, i will check with the manuel, and price those tools. Also I have basic reading skills of a wiring diagram, but I also have common sense to understand them.

Thank you, and I do have all of them for my specific truck, the previous owner had them all. I can not look at them at this time as I'm out of town.

If they are the Ford Manual/prints then that's great If anything else Haines, Clymer Etc. then get the Ford manuals/prints

Okay, I'm pretty sure they are the original Ford manuals from when the truck was first sold. But what would the manuel's help with?
I've used them to check the fuses, but they didn't show anything else electrical, I don't think.

The manuals I am referring to are Service Manuals They do not come with a new vehicle.
They are purchased after a vehicle is sold They include service and repair information Wiring diagrams and troubleshooting procedures

I don't know if you can test it, but from the items that stopped working, sounds like you shorted out the Gem module. It's mounted to the fuse box in the drivers compartment. If it turns out to be the Gem it's very important to get same part number, and in most cases it has to be programmed by dealer or a shop that's dealer equipped. The battery going dead after 10 minutes sounds like you fried a cell or 2. Your local auto store or mechanic can load test it for you. Now you know why you always, always disconnect the negative lead of your battery, before any work, not just electrical.
