For the dinette sleeper thing, I agree. From the factory they are terrible. The pillows from the seat always fall off and/or move around to create a very uncomfortable bed.
We got a foam (maybe memory foam) pad to put on top of all the pillows. It holds the pillows in place and stores under one of the seats. Works fairly well and much better than nothing.

My wife did not think it was a good idea to have a dinette table as a bed because then We would have to wait for the kids to wake up so we can eat breakfast.
Also in the summer we like to nap in the middle of the day due to the heat.

All you need to do is tell the kids that they won't get breakfast until they are out of bed.

I bet they will be up before you and the wife are

2 in a double bed, 2 in bunks, 1 adult or 2 children in the fold out sofa, 1 adult or 2 children in the dinette.

Fun fact, the original owner was a family friend of the Swifts. Taylor Swift went camping with them and has slept in this trailer. :)
After the owner told me that my offer would have dropped by a few grand...:emotions33:, lol just kidding.

My wife points out the big motor homes towing tiny Expeditions fairly often. Explorers and other pseudo-SUVs * are more common.

I took this pic a few years back when we were camping. I guess the Expedition wouldn't fit on there sideways, so Smart car it is . But then again, he's got some serious cash tied up in the semi and trailer.

My wife and I are the drivers. We now have a combined 16 years of driving experience with our coaches. We had two at one time but finally sold the old one and just have this one now. Went from this:

Sorry for the thread drift. I do tow trailers with my truck at times and it’s a beast...but too much tongue weight and it gets squirrelly.

The new coach is set to around 550hp and about 1400ft lbs of torque. It’s an older style Detroit turbocharged 8v92 two stroke engine. Goes like the wind but gets around 5mpg. Weighs in at 40,000lbs on the scale without the Expedition.

I think anything outside of a tent is glamping

I grew up the same way - a 10x18 Ted Williams tent from Sears. My dad packed that thing into a 1-wheel trailer we pulled behind a VW bus. I remember him saying as the guys with pop-ups went thru the campground, "That's not camping!!" Of course 40 years later I have a 30' travel trailer with all the amenities. Gotta spoil the grandkids!!!
