Well Mr pclay Thomas, their you go. Doesn't get much better on electrical diagnostic than our Stamp. Your going to need an assistant, and take a voltage measurement at both the fuel pump relay, and at the inertia switch. If your getting voltage, it will drop as you crank it, but if you do, then it's your pump. If not, then you gotta back track to figure out why. The other way, but tougher is drop tank, and check power at pump, but if you go that far, you change pump. I'm with the others, somehow your pumps losing voltage somewhere.

The weather is nice for a change - 62 and overcast. Needed to change the oil in the Acura so out I went. Almost took a "senior nap" under the engine waiting for the oil to drain it was so nice.
If I can be out there with my aches and pains, he has no excuse.....

Outside changing oil? Is the garage full of engines/transmissions? Or the wife's stuff? Can't you have your first year students do the L OF? They gotta learn the basics. Teach has done enough of those .

Don't have a garage any more, true shade tree mechanic now.

I'm debating about building one once I retire though. All depends on the health at that time.

Any of your students Carpenters? I've found a lot of Carpenters are also good mechanics. Make it part of his work schedule for graduation! Just kidding.

We're dealing with millennials here. Do you really think they will "read" blueprints if they don't read a book they bought for $350?

I'd have to find a YT video of the exact garage being built so they could "see it".

I keep forgetting who where dealing with. Our parents must have thought the same about us back in the early 70's. At what point did I turn into my father. What was that song, one day you wake up, and your old. Looking good to the ladies, morphs into stretchy pants, and it's 8:00 pm, time for bed. I still refuse to eat dinner at 5:00pm. Drinks yeah, but I refuse to eat dinner before 6:00pm. Maybe if I move back east over the time line 2-3 hours, who knows. But then I won't be up at 8:00pm for my TV shows. Now I know why direct TV puts their shows on 3 hours ahead.
