Yea you can’t use an auto engine. The pistons are wrong, bottom end is wrong, no stainless head gaskets etc. a marine rebuilt long block isn’t very pricey with the commonality if the 5.7 350, great motor. It tops out at 42ish right now with the V6. It may or may not happen. A lot of work that unless I have extra cash and time isn’t needed. If I really wanted it to move I could Marinize my 5.4 3V LOL, that would smoke a small block Chevy with the extra 50 ponies and VCT....all on 87 octane vs high test gas. Interesting to see how engines evolve.

The maiden voyage for towing with the Expy AND the new trailer. From Akron to Detroit isn't much of a challenge.
This winter's project car is now safely tucked away waiting for me to find that Big Block to pop in it. And to get rid of those wheels!!!!
Nice Cat! Good call on getting rid of those wheels. Torque Thrust or Magnum 500’s always please the eyes.99BD6050-6F85-47A5-AFC3-6D3A9167EBFA.jpeg

Very very nice. And I love the button too. That is the same trailer I have. It is heavy ... but very stable. The Expi will pull that all day long! Much better than my last V-8 Expi

That was an old promotional button the salesmen wore at Lincoln Mercury Dealers back in the late sixties.I found it at All Ford Carlise swap meet years ago and I had to buy it. It hangs from the mirror of my 69 Eliminator now. I’ve got a love affair with old Cougars........ ok old Mercury Cougars! Lol!
