Used Ready Lift 3/2 kit, used adjustable links for setting the the CCD ride sensors back to spec location, 33 12.5 20in Nitto Grapplers. 20 inch rims, I did trim the front part of running board (very easy with chopsaw) also just pulled the front edge of the inner fender felt toward the front just a touch so there will be no rub at all. Turns full with no issue or rub at all and rides very good not much difference. No one that has ridden in it has mentioned anything about the ride other than its taller... meaning little to no diff. Its about 2.75 inch higher in front and about 1.75 in rear and add 1 inch to frin and rear for the tire size (3.75 front and 2.75 rear total). I have never lifted a vehicle before. So I was a newby... wasnt hard I just was methodical. Two person job me and brother his 1st too. No one would do it because of the CCD. Had it blacked out with shrink vinyl and the front grill was Plasti dip all of which will come off so it will remain pristine if I take it off to sell. I researched everything prior so was very prepared. Love it now!!!!!

Thanks. I have a limited '19 stealth. Would like to incorporate a few of the improvements you've made. Looks great!

Hate the ride quality but LOVE the seat comfort and overall cavernous cabin. Power is also excellent.

Which trim and wheel size do u have?

What dont u like about the ride?

Love so many things about it, it's hard to pick one! But I think the look, power/acceleration, and ride are awesome. The full moonroof is a big plus, too.

My dislikes are pretty nit picky. Agree with others that I wish settings would stay as set (like Eco mode) and the dirt magnate tailgate. Biggest annoyance is intermittent issues with Bluetooth; calls go through (or I answer) but the person on the other end can't hear me. It will do this for a few days, then work without any changes on my side. Ugh.

Can you like and dislike the giant size at the same time? LOVE it *until* I'm creeping into my garage or trying to get into a ridiculously small parking space somewhere.

Really like the power.

I dislike the armrest level on the driver's left side. It is too low and the window sill is too high. On longer trips I can't seem to get comfortable with that arm.

I only have two
#1 No retractable luggage cover all my junk is on full display. Apparently Ford designers like their Junk out in full view.

#2 No lock out on the 2nd row Radio controls.

I realize this thread is titled 1 of each, but I figured why create a new thread just because I have a few... Please bare in mind, other than when I was racing rice burners, the only vehicle I've ever owned was Jeeps. I have had 6 Grands, an XJ, and a CJ. This is my first non-Jeep and definitely my first ford. I have a 2019 Platinum regular chassis.

First, the likes -
  • The ride is awesome, I know a lot of folks complain about it, but I actually really like it. In many ways (thanks to the similarities in chassis, etc), this thing handles, steers, and feels a lot like my last two Grands. I like the turning radius for such a large vehicle, but nothing beats the Jeep here.
  • I like the engine, even though my last 3 vehicles had various versions of the Hemi (and all of them had intakes and exhausts), the sound of this rings back memories of Turbo H22A's. My CAI definitely has increased the turbo sound!
  • The tranny is pretty comfortable, especially compared to my last 6spd grand.
  • I love the roominess, and for the most part the cabin noise is pretty low. My last grand had dual layer windows that helped cut down on some noise, but this is good.
  • Visibility is good, so many new SUV's these days have crappy views, unlike many, I don't rely on a screen to show me my surroundings, don't get me wrong, I like them when I need them, but my head still rotates.
  • So far Sync3 has been okay, it's quite a bit better than my previous vehicle, but it's pretty buggy with Android Auto so far.
  • Finally, I like the ability to use Forscan, but it surprised me how many options aren't configurable through other means. For example, default climate control options when remote start is used.
  • I've driven dozens of GMC Yukons/Denali's and I can say this is much better, but everyone is different, just my feeling.
Now to the dislikes -
  • First, I ask the question, do you think a Ford engineer ever actually drove these things in adverse conditions before settling on design aspects? Probably not, this thing has deep pockets and channels all over the place that get filled with snow/ice. I sure hope I don't go real offroad with this like I did in my Jeep. The mud getting lodged in these spots would probably cause it to get stuck on it's own. Seriously, hollow bumper shells with no liner to prevent mud/snow/ice from filling them up? I even have mud flaps and they sort of only help. I can spend 20 minutes getting snow out of these areas before I pull into my garage so I don't have foundation issues from the water.
  • I don't like some of the usability stuff. Example, see attached image. Why would they put two USB ports in the hidden console slot without a way to run a cable out? I don't want to have to leave that drawer open all of the time, so I ended up drilling a 5/8" hole through both sides and putting rubber grommets in so I can run cables through. So much better.
  • The rear hatch that's supposed to open when you waive your leg, never works when my hands are full and I need it to, but today it sure popped open when I was shoveling near the car, awesome.
  • The height of this beast is a bit of an issue. You see, my last jeep had an air suspension, probably one of the biggest things I miss. I loved being able to lower my vehicle to fit into garages better. I literally have 2" between my garage opening and the factory cross bars. I miss being able to use a rack up top for lumber/etc. I knew it was bigger, but WOW.
  • I don't like that there's so little undercarriage protection, so unfortunately I will have to bite the bullet and buy some plates. It's a must in CO.
  • The dirt magnet known as the back liftgate/tailgate. Again, there are so many cavities where dirt piles up, it's nuts!
  • OH, one more, I really dislike the shift knob. I way prefer something like on the column or an actual shift handle, they provide better feedback when you're not looking at it. I'm sure I'll get used to it at some point. This dovetail's into the manual shift buttons, for a vehicle this price, why aren't there paddles? I get it's not a performance vehicle, but it's so much more functional when downshifting for example going down a pass.

Sorry for the novel!

Oh yeah, one more HUGE HATE, so far Ford Customer Service and the Ford Motor Credit folks have been terrible. It's like trying to get help from a government agency!

Wasnt gonna participate but wth:

Likes(cant do just one):
- passenger and cargo space, phenomenal seats, surprising acceleration, great sound system, handling composure(the ability to hustle back roads at 80+mph in sport is astonishing), highway beast, fuel economy and range(minimum of 550mi on long trips), good day ride(at its best, smoothest non luxury car on the road, passengers would praise or go to sleep(secret to a smooth riding car, how fast your passengers get to sleep)), reliability(outside of a few niggles, no major issues)

Dislikes:
Infotainment and tach decisions(no audio/climate setting in tach, some missing audio and personal opt in sync), small niggles(bluetooth connection issues, popping mirrors, light condensation that burned out my lights), transmission(its smooth but some had shift issues, mine included), bad day ride(at its worse, its bumpy, harsh and too jittery, some passengers would complain), steering feel(any mode outside sport was too numb and heavy, but sport mode steering was great)...biggest dislike though

BEING ON THIS DAMN BEAUTIFUL ISLAND WITHOUT MY BIG GIRL!!

Btw i love it here its great and beautiful.

3.5 EcoBoost is what I love the most. Just found a new dislike - the compass display in the driver's display looks like a compass, but only actually displays eight directions! And here I expected it to rotate around while I turned corners... nope, it's no better than the N/NE/E/SE/S/SW/W/NW display...

Dislike - Console and touch screen don't consistently retain previous brightness setting - need to hit the +/- brightness control every time I start the truck.
Really Dislike - Need to select the Android Auto icon after every seat adjustment to get back into the UI
Bonus Dislike - No keyfob proximity auto-lock
