Sucks. My wheels are black so any scratches will be crazy obvious. Knowing there are good wheel repair places is comforting though. Nothing a few hundred bucks can’t fix.

Have you heard of any decent black wheel touch up paint/markers that can do the trick?

hello folks, just joined and waiting on delivery of a 2020 Expedition Fx4. I have a question for the the motor heads here. What does Lincoln do to get an extra 75hp out of basically the same engine? Is it just tuned differently?

It’s the Raptor motor.

A Few things are different, and MANY misconceptions.

Turbo’s in a standard 2020 Expy and Navigator are the same size. Turbine in the Navigator is made of a different material, to better withstand added heat stress.

Pistons are different, and the HO(Raptor/Navi) actually run lower compression to help with Cylinder pressure.

Those small physical changes allow the Tuning to be more aggressive.

Regular 2020’s should be beasts with a proper tune.

Mine needs to get over 1000 miles and we will see what she is capable of. Stock on Dragy I got 6.4 sec 0-60 with Sport engaged, and Traction control off. Not bad at all for a Limited, Heavy Tow EL 4x4 with 22’s.

Thanks for the info. I plan on using the experiences of people here to help plan and execute my build.

I have the 400 HP Platinum. I am guessing this is just a small tune. Do you know in your tuner world if you need a specific tune or just rewrite the standard 375 Tune on top of it?

Correct the Platinum’s just a bump in tune. The tunes that work on a Non-HO motor will work on yours. You just won’t see as much bump.

First wash!
I'm usually not a fan of tire shine but on the black wheels it's pretty much a requirement...

I picked up the cheapest electric power washer at Wally World and I'm totally sold. Perfect for car washes... With two people (one on the spong and one on the washer) and you can knock out cars pretty quick. Next I have to see if it has enough oomph to tackle the deck...

If you like the pressure washer you need to step up to a foam cannon, the cannon paired with two bucket setup is the way to go.

dump the sponge for a microfiber mitt and fancy drying towel or you’ll be paint correcting quarterly on that black beast scratch magnet.

looks sharp, BTW.

Yeah,
I have a better wash mitt at home (currently at uncle's place) but I do have an absorber to dry which I swear by. The pWasher has an attachment for soap but it is pretty lame. I have seen much better. I did however dilute the soap. Next time I won't and see how it goes.

The 2 pack is almost the same price as single. Could use for two vehicles or use one on bottom of vehicle and one for sides and top.

Check this out at Amazon.com
CleanTools 10063 Absorber Synthetic Drying Towel, 27-Inch x 17-Inch, 2-Pack https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01EWCS2J2/ref=cm_sw_r_other_apa_i_qYxQEbPFWJ3Y3

What type of soap? Chamois terrify me. Too ‘flat’ a surface for my liking.

Anyway, nothing a good annual paint correction won’t fix!

The chemical guys drying towels are really good as is their cannon. I have their pink soap that does great but I use the Gtechniq soap for the Navigator, apparently it’s best for their coating which I have.
