Bought first one cuz liked it (99) second one for more room in 3rd row (03) third one (14) for EL & 4 season cross country travel ... interstate, forest roads, camping, ski trips. No other vehicle has the room & comfort for a tall stroke like me. Turned it into an economical 4WD low profile good ground clearance camper. Wind is no problem (Wyoming). To this day people still try to talk me into an RV but not driving an RV through snowy mtn passes, they just don't get it.

Was about to say my first Ford, yet actually had a '69 Club Wagon with 302 my Italian friends used for a cross country trip in '74. This one was in Diamonds are Forever.

Love the Expedition- it replaced a '13 Yukon which was capable, just not nearly as comfortable and the power is awesome. 22K so far so good! Expy.jpg

Don't get me wrong, even though it seems like I've done a lot of complaining lately, I really do love driving it. I really do enjoy the ride, the drive, the spaciousness, etc. And a part of me still is proud to have tried to support an American brand.

I love the versatility of the Expedition. From driving on the beach to towing a camper through the mountains, it's handled it all. I hope to make it out west after seeing the other pics you guys have posted so far.

We are hoping to head out West, too, once the pandemic is more under control and restrictions are loosened.

We want to hit Moab, Grand Tetons, and Zion to name a few places. I would love to go up to Alaska... The wife not so much. She said Vancouver, but then we turn around and come back to the States.

Having lived in AK and CO multiple times each I’ve driven the AlCan multiple times. Highly recommend it. Once you get your wife there she’ll love it.

Fozzy, what kind of bike rack do you have?

It’s a Yakima Hangover 6. It’s great for the price. It only works with regular style suspension forks. So no road bikes or kid bikes. Also it’s rated to under 40lbs per bike so no E bikes. Other than that it works well. Without bikes on it you can lay it back and still get in the window or open the tailgate.
