Our poor Expedition. 2019 Stealth, Readylift with 34" Falken on Fuel wheels. It has 33K.
A month ago, we started getting random "shift sys fault" alerts that had to do with the park pawl solenoid. Simple fix- drop pan, change solenoid, reinstall pan. Picked it up after repair, drove 25 miles home and stuffed in garage due to incoming storms. Later, went to back it out after storms passed and garage reeked of trans fluid.
Sure enough- underside was coated. Called service advisor and he fell over himself apologizing. I wasn't too keen on driving it there and he agreed to have it towed. So this morning, it left on a rollback.
Just got the call the service procedure stated to reuse the pan gasket- and that's what was leaking. New one coming tomorrow and I will get it back.
The kicker- while it was being strapped down on the rollback, the driver pointed out my rear endlinks were both broken. Hellwig bars I installed 2 months ago. Both broken cleanly at the same spot. Ever seen that?
I am very happy with my service advisor- he went out of his way answering calls after hours and making the Expedition a priority.
