The tire shop tells me that the TPMS in my 2004 Xpy cannot take battery replacement like those found in later years. So they are recommending replacing the TPMS along with the tires. I don't know If the TPMS is original or replaced. I do know that the Sears Guardian tires are dated Dec 2015. I...
Decades ago on my Ford 302 it turned out to be a continuous short in the starter. I found it after finding the new battery to be discharged in a day or so. This was a fairly common problem back then but I don't know about now. Maybe.
Here in Central Florida when the temperature dips below 60F the radio dies including all displays such as the clock which stops. When it warms back up it all comes on and the clock starts up again as though just energized, the time being incorrect.
I haven't started checking anything yet. Any...
@ TheDoug regarding the ugly stick hit on the Sequoia. Maybe it's just me but I find my Eddie Bauer 2004 Expedition to always be the best looking car in the parking lot. So I can truly understand your comment about the Sequoia being hit by an ugly stick.
I don't know if this will help you. I had the clicking sound in the rear.
I don't really care about heat in the rear. What I really need, living here in Florida, is the AC to the rear seat from the ceiling for my 77 lb Greyhound who rides in the rear seat.
So I just unplugged the actuator and...
The gear boxes that control the AC air flow and temperature notoriously fail. That is the only repair that I have had since buying the 04 Eddie Bauer in 2018 @ 78K mi (now 83K) and this just recently. If you hear a sharp clicking sound when adjusting AC controls just remember this is what it is...
My 2004 EB Expedition with 5.4L 2 valve @83K mi.has the recommendation from Ford of 5W-20. I've heard from a number of sources that for here in Florida it would be better to kick up the second number to 30 or 40. They say that 20 is not heavy enough.
Is there anything definitive on this?
It's my understanding that a 2021 Jeep is a Fiat. Good luck with that.
Fix It Again Tony.
My 2004 EB Expedition is one of the most comfortable of all the vehicles I have ever experienced. It's common for guest passengers to comment the same. So it's not just me.
The EB trim is my favorite for...
Thankfully I found that the dead cigar lighter was due to a blown fuse and not a problem with the circuit.
Finding the fuse box took some effort. The owner's manual vaguely says it's under the right side of the instrument panel. So after finding nothing there, I found this following link that...
