I run 0-40w Mobile 1 in both my truck and my little car. As many of you know, it's not cheap but 5.10 a quart is a pretty good price. Walmart will ship me 2-5 qt containers (free shipping over $35) for less than 51 bucks.....yeah, I'll let them bring it to me. Both fleabay and Mr. Bezos were much higher.

Just an FYI for those that might not know.........

I was hoping not to address that fact...i made a statement, not a discussion. I build engines for a hobby...I'm good but thanks for the tongue-in-cheek warning! Almost made me spit my afternoon coffee out! LOL

You all can laugh but I have been getting oil from garage sales for the last 10 years for 50 cents to a dollar a quart. I dump it into my V-10 every 5k miles and a little in between. I try to average out the weight pretty much and some of it is synthetic but most not. The V-10 runs perfectly and has 200k miles on it now. Sshhhh don't tell it it's not getting "proper" oil. :waytogo:

Don’t think I’ve ever seen oil at garage sale before. And certainly not the quantity needed to keep a V10 going.

Garage sales are my old man job, I buy there and sell on Ebay. It's a lot of work but nobody is breathing down my neck.

You're not getting anything by going with Mobil 1 over any other mainstream brand. There have been several independent studies showing that. That said, Mobil 1 was $30 for 15 qts (5-qt x3) at Wally World just a few weeks ago. Heck, Pennzoil was free after rebate about 2 weeks ago. The oil market has become so competitive that prices like these are commonplace. I haven't paid more than $2.50/qt for any oil in the past 6 years.
