My 2006 Silverado work truck had speed sensitive volume, so I’m almost certain the suburban had it well before 2012.
Heck, my 02 Tahoe has speed sensitive volume.

I actually like the simplicity of my 02 Tahoe. I don't have any need or desire for all this tech stuff, and I'm not a dinosaur get. (Maybe a Neanderthal) I installed a backup camera using a rearview mirror that has the screen built into it. Sure, it would be nice to have the newer Ecoboost or AFM + 10 speed transmission, but I honestly could do without all the extra tech.

I'm 100% with you! I'm waiting for a manufacturer to get smart and built a performance SUV with all the comfort luxuries and appearance upgrades on it, but none of the tech stuff. I'd be waiting with my check! :)

You can increase its sensitivity in the settings

I know, i had it on the highest setting. Unlike hour expy and my old navi(and every other car) where the volume goes up as speed rises, in the 4th gen with the b&o atleast, the setting is pre raised on default. So in essence, instead of rising with speed, the setting boosts the default volume. At first i thought it was broken, but evry 18 i tested sounded the same.

They gotta justify the price increase somehow lol

For me personally I had 2 chevy trucks that were total POS. I’ve only owned 1 Ford and it was also a POC. I switched to a Toyota Tundra and have had zero issues in 7 years and almost 100k miles. My wife drove a Sequoia until January when we were forced to make a change (nothing wrong with the car). Happened on a leftover 19 expulsion max and made a great deal on it.

In full size suvs there isn’t many options. So I went with the fired even though I hate the thought of the EB motors.

Now so far we love the expedition it drives great and has plenty of power. It’s lacking on initial take off compared to the Toyota v8 but it’s not bad and gets about 25% better MPG. Time will tell on reliability, and that’s what I’m worried about.

Why? The Suburban has been around since 1935 and is common in popular media. The FBI agents in action movies always have driven a Suburban since the 80’s. It’s America’s vehicle and a historic nameplate.

I disagree Ford let the Expedition go stale, that’s not true if you look at the facts. The 07-14 Expedition is arguably nicer than the 07-14 Tahoe with a more refined ride and extra gadgets like the heated/cooled seats, power fold 3rd row, auto dimming mirrors, etc. The GM’s didn’t get cooled seats until 2015.....Ford has had cooled seats and IRS in the Expedition since 2003. Ford really only got behind from 2015 onward when the new GM’s came out....the 07-14 Tahoe is very comparable to the 07-14 Expy as far as tech so that “stale” theory goes out the window since GM did zero updating in that time.

Now I know I'm talking about Cadillac, but my 2010 Escalade had heated and cooled seats. Not to mention the heated option was superior to my 2019 Expedition since I could have it JUST on the back portion, which is what you want on a long drive! Heck, the Platinum version even had a cooled center console too!

dodge did something like that with the super bee trim on the charger for a few years. Nobody bought it. The days of a stripped down car being appealing are long over.
