I’m doing front end work on the expedition. The ball joint is stuck. I pounded with a 3lb sledge and ended up mushrooming the top. The big issue is that there was wear on the bottom of the arm where the receiver cup slips and cuts into the aluminum, so I can’t get anywhere with the press. At this rate I’m thinking aftermarket LCAs since I wouldn’t need to replace the bushings too. Or get a used OEM LCA and try again? I need the right side and preferred ACDelco, but can’t find left side anywhere. RockAuto has only the right side, or pairs in Delphi, Suspensia, and a low end Moog(not an option). What to do, what to do?

I replaced my factory front control arms with Motorcraft uppers and TRW lowers(these appear to be the factory arms).

2004 Expedition lower front control arms
W0133-1898470-TRW passenger side
W0133-1898472-TRW driver side

I agree most of the front lower control arms available appear to be low quality and I wouldn't trust them.
