Hello, here’s the TSB for the rear end knock. I’ve dealt with this issue 2x’s on our 2019 ExpMAX in less than 30kmi. Hopefully it won’t come back as we’re out of warranty.

Interesting. I think we've been experiencing the same thing in ours but it's a 4x4. Funny the tsb states only 2wd models. We've taken it to the shop twice:

1) they said it was normal and days there was too much trans fluid and bleed some out.

2) second time around they said they couldn't reproduce the problem and just reset the transmission program.

This explains what I'm experiencing but if I brought this tsb up to them, they'd likely say it's not applicable to our 4x4 and dismiss it again.

I love hearing the dealer’s explanations on some of these things. Luckily mine was reproducible fairly often so that was no worries. They say its normal? I’d almost guarantee if they did the TSB, the sound would go away for a bit. A poor design just like the cup holders that fall apart, I’m not keen on the Ford Dealership experience, much to be desired.

This TSB has to do with the transmission output to driveshaft interface. On a 4wd, the output to the driveshaft comes from the transfer case instead of the transmission.
