brake tube size
Well I am still working on my brake lines. I got the lines from the ABS to the master cylinder off ebay for $30. they were 1/4" lines. I got my connector for the last fitting I couldnt find also off ebay by buying a used abs module that had the same configuration as mine brake line wise...- dogman

well to be straight about it the lines coming from the master cylinder are not 3/16ths. I went to napa but they weren't much help. On the bright side ebay has both lines from the master cylinder in stainless steel lines for $30. So I ordered them just because I'm tired of running around trying...- dogman

Thanks for that info. Yes I have a mastercool flaring tool that does bubble flares. I have used Bubble flares on everything for the brakelines so far. I will keep an eye on this post.- dogman

Brake Line Replacement HELP!
I'm in the middle of replacing my brake lines on my 06 expedition. I can recommend the nickle copper alloy brake line. Its great to work with. Thanks for the replys. Looks like I am going with option 2. I don't really care how the outside looks because you really can't see it. Run into another issue. Quess I've read it elsewhere but Ford doesn't sell the quick connect fitting that goes in the radiator separately. You can only purchase a new radiator with the connectors. The one that Dorman shows doesn't look like the correct part. Anyone figured this out?- dogman

Well the lines at the radiator connectors were corroded so badly ended up cutting the lines to remove them. So that then required a 27mm socket to remove the screw in connectors. waiting on replacements showing up hopefully I ordered the correct item. 7L3Z-7D273-A is supposed to be the new...- dogman

Well not doing any towing so I am planning on leaving the cooler alone. Right now removing the lines from the transmission is a bit of a challenge as there is not much room around there. I'll see about taking some pictures tomorrow.- dogman

Okay I know its trivial but it annoys me. The small mirror in the upper center by the sunglasses holder mirror retaining clip broke off. I'm going to replace my lower ball joints on my 2006 expedition. Does anyone know the size of the axel nut its 4 wheel drive. what are the odds that the upper ball joint would need replacing at the same time? Thanks- dogman

I'm assuming that when I turn on the rear window defroster via button on dash my side mirrors will defrost as well and since there is a timer for the rear window defroster it will all turn off at the same time. Magic eh!- dogman

well I guess they are manual and I also thought that there was already a fuse in the circuit since I am checking and tapping in at the connector for the mirror in the door at the same connector that the powered mirror and puddle light run from.- dogman
