Mine has bubbling chrome trim on it. None has come off revealing sharp edges.

My 2023 SPP had peeling where shown. I think they replaced just the trim piece around the shifter cluster. So.... am I "done" or will I be going back for the rest of the chrome?

Does anyone know?

(My chrome was bubbling, but hadn't peeled yet. I just knew it would peel after warranty expired so I had it fixed.)

Ford’s safety recall notice posted on the NHTSA website states there is not a remedy available yet - and parts may be available in the first quarter of 2027.

When my 2015 Expedition was recalled for a defective front HVAC blower motor, it took one year and one day for the part to arrive at the dealer after being ordered.

They replaced the chrome around my shifter knobs for bubbling chrome, but that was before the recall so the part came in about a week.

I just got my recall Saturday. Mine isn't peeling yet but has bubbles. (18) I can't imagine they would replace the complete console for a bad trim piece.

They probably won't.....the affected part is the top console plate and is a seperate piece.
Thjere is another thread about this recall and I posted the same info.....part runs around $250 if it were bought from a Ford dealer.

I also received the notice from Ford last week that said no remedy at this time. Possibly 2027. My post from last year showed the severely damaged area around the cup holder that I sliced my finger on a few times. I then had to peel as much of the affected area off as I could. So we'll see how long this takes to get corrected by Ford. This is my fourth Expy and I don't have any plans to get another at this point, since this is my retirement purchase. I just want it fixed. Correctly.

Here are my pics from September 2025 post. Again, I used the Sharpie to blend in as best I could after removing as much of bad trim as possible.

My 2024 started to bubble within 6 months. Had the dealer replace it under warranty when they did the trailer recall. Laughed when this recall happened. Waiting on the next recall...
