Ok so I went get in my truck to leave for work today and had to drive my ranger in instead since it would not start.

Here is everything I can tell you at this point in time:

Truck unlocks with my remote fine, open the door and the interior lights go on as well as my puddle lights.

I turn the key, door dinger goes off like normal as well as everything that comes on (gauge cluster, radio, fuel pump).

Now as soon as my key went from the accessories position to the start / On position everything goes off that is powered from the battery. if i turn it back to the accessories position everything restores that is battery powered.

What could be causing this?

My guess was possibly the ignition switch, my other guess was (if there is one haven't checked) a relay for the ignition that has went bad?

ANYONE HAVE ANY FEEDBACK? much appreciated

UPDATE! :

Key in the ignition door dinger goes off, put key in the accessories position and relay clicks, radio comes on etc, turn the key to the on position relay clicks, fuel pump powers, gauge lights come one, go to start, relay clicks, sounds like starter solenoid clicks then I lose all power and will do nothing. Tried starting it in neutral, does the same thing. Checked the 101 and 102 fuses, no concision and fuses seem to be fine. Dont know what else to check after that?

I dont know if this is normal either but if the key is on the accessory position and i press the brake i also lose all power, if its in the on position and i press the brake it allows me to shift into gear

Also for the heck of it pulled the relay for the ignition the truck acts normal is it would with a normal start electrical wise, dings and power restores after you turn the key. swapped it with the same relay from my ranger and it goes back to the same thing

Check for 12v at the large stud on the starter while a helper tries to start it. If you have 12v there then hit the starter with a hammer on the body. Try to start again if it starts you can at least move the vehicle. If it doesn't you should have the starter tested.

As soon as The I try to crank the truck I lose all power and it doesn't restore unless i re-cycle the key so I would not have power there nor anywhere through the electrical system if the key was being turned to start.

Only needed electrical circuits are energized when you are cranking the engine so that max amps are available to the starter.
Still need to know if you have 12v at the starter when cranking.

Well I fixed it, ended up being a loose ground that was causing all the mess, When i first checked i only checked to see if the terminal connection was tight, not the individual wires, all is well and running like it was before!!!
