07 Expedition radio reception problem

A few months ago the radio in our Expedition started losing reception at night. Eve local stations would fade in and out and get real fuzzy. Since then, it's gotten to the point where the reception is getting bad during the day and then this morning while on a road trip I noticed that when I turn the turn signal on, or press on the brakes the reception gets real fuzzy. It returns to "normal" (still not good) when I let off the brake or turn off the turn signal. Does anybody have any idea what might be causing this?

It sounds like a loose ground, either to the radio chassis or the antenna. That's the best that I can come up with.

I'm not an expert in these matters but it seemed like the logical place to start. Sometimes plugs work themselves loose.
