Hijack away, I'm enjoying the discussion. I'll see if I can find the sensor and change it sometime in the next decade

I'll have to look at the badges I removed but I believe there are holes behind the expedition emblem but not the advancetrac. I added the 15-17 chrome trim to mine and didn't have to patch anything. Pretty sure the pin on the expedition lined up with the new trim pin and nothing behind AdvanceTrac. I'll find my emblems tomorrow to check back in

Hey gix, did you happen to look at your old emblems? Just curious, no pressure man.

I went through me car parts bin yesterday and found all the leftover stuff I had that day but didn't find the emblem. I have them and for some reason they didn't end up in the bin I use for my stock parts bin. I'll do some more looking after work tonight

I did a little research and found the OEM Parts on a local dealers website. As I remember this emblem does not have a pin. But as I said earlier I will locate mine hopefully tonight and just confirm

Hey don't worry about it. The pics you found online are fairly conclusive IMO.

Thanks again for your help.

On a 07 Expedition the RSC badge does not have any holes. Had to repaint the liftgate and there were no holes in the badge.

I added an aftermarket backup camera. The little 1"x1" camera's fit in place perfect. Just a little dab jb weld on the inside to keep it still. I had no interest in trying to source an oem camera considering the video quality on my aftermarket was top notch

Well I found the ambient air temp sensor, disconnected the plug, slathered it with dielectric grease, reconnected it. So far the issue hasn't returned.

The free fixes are the best.

Welp, it's been almost three months, and the temp sensor is still working flawlessly.

Wow. Something's not right there. :/ At least there's a 2 year warranty on the MC parts.
Never did replace the original, just cleaned up the connection and added dielectric grease. Got 5 or so months out of it.

Got a final answer on the AdvanceTrac badge.

No holes.IMG_20190502_210159857.jpg IMG_20190502_210209984.jpg

Hope you enjoy the toes lol.

Had my lift gate repainted to hopefully eradicate Ford's awesome aluminum paint job, and had my paint guy leave the badge off. Really liking the clean look.

In other news, also replaced the ambient air temp sensor.
