Love the new interior, but I don't like the 10-speed transmission. I also have a 2017 and think it's much smoother and shifts a lot better on hills in Tow/Haul mode. In fact, my 2017 is so smooth I seldom really notice the shifting and I never get that strange sensation when the torque convertor locks up (feels almost like an extra shift) that I feel all the time in the 2018.

The interior, especially the dash, is cheap and plasticky. I also don't like the radio asks at every startup whether I want to turn on updates. I've reset the settings several times but it keeps coming back. I like just about everything else.

I love everything except the stupid weak power running boards!!! Stick all the time most annoying thing!!! Looking at raptor style as a replacement when I’ve had enough... which is getting close!

What do you mean? It’s slow to deploy? If so, I agree.

Man this is hard with so many things that I love about it!

Umm a like today was how fast my seats and steering wheel warm up!

Dislike today was how much freaking dirt hides on the back hatch. It's under the fin, the chrome trim, the emblem, the step. It just keeps dripping mud from everywhere when I wash it haha.

Second on the dirt. It's like a vacuum cleaner, especially under the glass.

Love just about everything about it. Spacious (Max...at 6'4" I can actually comfortably sit anywhere in it, which is RARE), plush (Platinum), powerful & quick, just enough technology. There are 3 things that I don't necessarily like. One is the interior...I know, I even just said it was plush. It just isn't quite as nice as the Jeep Grand Cherokee Summit I had. Wood steering wheel, a lot more wood trim, felt lined glove box and center console, satin finishes, more leather on the dash and doors, etc. The "extras" like that brought the Jeep up a notch. And this was a 2011 model...the new Summit's are downright opulent and made mine look like a pile! Also don't like the sound of a V6. Again my Jeep had the 5.7 Hemi and I put a Corsa exhaust on it...man was that thing SWEET sounding! Nice rumble at idle, just a little snarl if you weren't on the gas hard, but what a unique sound at WOT. Last is the transmission programming. Below 6th gear between the torque converter locking up at lower RPM and the skip shifting it's a cranky, clunky mess(IMO). I find myself driving it differently to minimize the traits I don't like. I am going to look into a tune from 5* long term to alleviate this I think.

Keep us updated if you go a different route on the running boards. A few people on here are looking for new options.

Love the surround cam. For a vehicle of this size, this is truly a must.

Hate the screen dimming. The Sync 3 screen has its own dimmer separate from the instrument cluster. Using the "auto-dim" function on Sync 3 only works for night mode. During daytime, I find Sync 3 blindingly bright. Furthermore, the center instrument cluster is far too bright compared to button backlight intensity.

Not sure why Ford paid so little attention to this (or maybe I'm just sensitive to light), but a single button that uniformly controls all interior dimming would be simpler and more logical.
But, that's Ford for you.

Love everything about it (I have a fully loaded '18 Platinum)! But the inability to control the rear DVD screens from the Sync screen and the lack of an audio link is a big omission. I gave up trying to get the Bluetooth link to the front to work ages ago.

No I live in michigan and any dirt and or such get on it and it doesnt have enough power to deploy or at times retract. Have to lube all the time.

Sometimes, using some lubricants will "attract" the very same dirt you're trying to avoid

I feel like Ive tried everything.... searched every forum and the dealer said “yeah just bring it in and we will lube it up”. Lol. I did read that Ford switched to a different maker for sometime back and consequently the resistance sensitivity for operation is a bit too sensitive combined with a weaker motor and that is what causes the sticking... apparently used to be built by AMP Research. Thats what Ive gathered so far. Open to new ideas always.

It's a nice ride but have never figured out why Ford[emoji2400] thinks we want a parade float suspension. I mean, come on boys. Installed bilsteins first year of ownership. Much better.

What did the Bilseins actually do to the ride? Curious as Ive seen a fair number of people talk about them.
Thanks buddy.
