looking for any way that you guys might know how to get the rear hatch open when the handle doesnt work. It locks and unlocks fine but the handle won't pop the dam hatch.

Just dealt with this problem about a month ago. You need to remove the door panel which can be done with the door shut. Once it is off use a flat head screwdriver to release the latch at the bottom of the door. Once you have it open there are a few options you have, replace the cable $60 approx from ford if I remember correctly. There is a guy on youtube that used zip ties to put the tension back on the cable to hold it in place. What I did is the little plastic clip that breaks (it holds the cable in place to the latch) I used jb weld and held it in place until it hardened enough to hold on its own. I left the door panel off for a couple of days just in case my idea didnt work but its been over a month now and it has been fine.
