2000 expy, abs pump issue

Try disconnecting only the power to the pump instead of burning it up. On my 99 it is tied into the gem, would imagine yours is also. Wire is Yellow/Lt Green pin 9 on the 99.

I can't remember which fuse that I pulled, but it was under the hood and it disabled the ABS. I still have cruise control, just have the ABS light on all the time. Look in your manual for a fuse block diagram and find the fuse that takes care of the ABS.
EDIT: I went and looked up the diagram quick, it was fuse 14 under the hood for me. Took care of the 4 wheel ABS. It was a 60 amp fuse.

Well, bad news, the fuse under the hood was a 50 amp. If I pull it, and plug the main power to the pump back in, I still dont have cruise control. Did some research and found a place on ebay that I can send my module to and have it fixed for $100.00. Not a bad price, and I wont have to worry about any reprogramming IF what I read was true about that.

I looked at the manual for my 99, it shows 4 fuses for the "speed control". The common one for both the ABS and Cruise is #11 in the Central Junction Box. You may have two separate issues going on.

If your going to fix it check out Car-Part.com--Used Auto Parts Market for a used one. Did a quick search of southeast region and they ranged from $150 all the way down to $35 for one listed as grade A. I had to select abs computer then it gave a menu for some reason and I selected ABS again what came up they're calling chassis control module but I'm guessing its the same thing.
Got my ABS control module rebuilt
My 2000 Expy ABS pump also suddenly began running continuously when I was standing outside of it one day in January 2009. I could hear the pump whining and pulled the electrical connector. Later I pulled the abs control module and sent it from NC to ModuleMaster in Moscow, ID. I paid $155 to have my original unit rebuilt and returned. I drove it without ABS until I got the unit back. ModuleMaster gave me a five year warranty and it's been in almost seven years and 130K more miles now with no problems. (Probably just jinxed myself.) I just offer this as another way to handle the problem. At the time, Ford would only sell the combined pump/control module unit and I think it was around $650. That was the only time I've used ModuleMaster. I just googled them and they're still there. I'd probably use them again if I needed something rebuilt. The receipt says they, "replaced pump amplifier with new premium grade unit. Installed motor surge suppressor/wave shaper. Replaced electromechanical ABS relay with more efficient unit as required."

ABS Module
My ABS Module did the same thing and stayed on once the Expy was shut off. Found out it is common issue for the ABS Module to short out or simply have a break in on of the solders within the circuit board. You need to check out AirBags.com. I sent in my ABS module, they fixed it, and sent the same one back with in 48 hours. Only cost me $105. Pretty dang good considering anyone else would order you a part and put it in for about $1000. Mine had two wire connectors and four bolts to remove. Very easy to do. There are many youtube videos to show you how to do it. Before I found this site, I just unpluged the ABS power directly at the ABS module.
