2000 Expy recall

Just heard there's a recal on 2000 expys; faulty speed control device causing fire under the hood. Anyone hear of this?

Saw on the news last night, it will be a 2 step process. The first time you bring it in, they will disable the cruise control, the second time you bring it in, they will fix it. The reason they are doing it this way, is because they don't know what the fix is yet. I'm not sure if they will contact you or if you will have to find out for yourself if yours is affected.

i'm disconneting it myself until a part is available at the dealer. Just disconnect the connection at the brake resorvoir in the engine compartment and tape it up .

The idiots never even contacted my about this recall. I even use the maintenance log on the Ford website. Morons!!!
