2001 EB lift gate.

Neither he rear window or lift gate will open. I assume the lock mech. is fubar. How can I get the gate open to take the panel off to fix it?

Climb in the back and unscrew the liftgate strap then you can pop off the panel. If the problem is just that the end pieces on the lock cables have deteriorated, there's a cheap aftermarket fix.

There are 2 cables that wear out, 1ea door & window, not expensive (rockauto.com), access like jr1under said
