2001 Ford Expedition won't start

I have a 2001 Ford Expedition EB 4.6L V8. It will crank but will not start. Can anyone tell me what might be the problem. Any help will be appreciated. TY

check behind the front pass. kick panel for the emergency fuel cut off... also turn the key on but don't start and you should hear the whine of the fuel pump... just some places to check first

Checked that but did not hear the whine of the fuel pump. Checked the fuel pump relay and fuse. Still won't start. Any ideas what to check next? TY again
