2005 Expedition what line to use Seafoam.

Super easy, and there is only one hose to use on our 04s, do not need to pour it into the yellow nipple. All I did was remove this hose from the booster, and positioned the clamp so that I would know how far into the bottle it was. In my case, I found that the vacuum it had was enough to suck out of the bottle even if the hose wasn't submerged. I put 2/3-3/4 of a bottle in there, and shut the truck off. Waited 20 mins, and started it up. Drove it through the neighborhood lightly, then around the block. It seemed to clean it out, LOTS of smoke!

Go for it, it is super easy on our 04s!

I know on my 2005 the smaller hose looks as if it is going to the passenger side valve cover. The bigger hose I disconnected from the yellow tee and inserted my funnel. I had my wife inside the truck giving it gas to keep it running. I poured the Seafoam in the line and then shut it off for about 20 minutes. When I restarted it the smoke really was not that bad,but when I drove it down the road the smoke was heavy for about the first mile,then it cleared up. I did have the Check Engine Lamp come on,first flashing and then just stayed on. When I scanned it it had set a code P0308. I did notice that when I restarted it it had a very small miss,but after driving it all cleared out.
What really does bother me is I know I am going to have to replace the Spark Plugs here soon bing that it has 122000 miles on it. I am sure they have never been out because I blew at least 5lbs of dirt from around all the Coil Paks

Damn... Everyone seems to had good experiences... I was one of those that developed issues... After SF.. I have a loud humming noise thru the air intake... Traced it to the IAC value... After installing a new IAC, noise was on/off randomly..

I then pulled off the battery ground, to force a relearn of the computer... All is good now..

Therefore.. If you heard humming.. clean your IAC, and reset computer..
