2012 Daylight Running Lights

I just took delivery of a 2012 Expedition Limited. My wife loves to have daylight running lights on her vehicle and I thought (incorrectly) that it would be a standard option on this SUV. Before going to the dealer to order the car, I built it on the Ford website. There was no option listed anywhere for DRL and I as mentioned above, thought that they were standard.
Is there a way to install DRL? Ford or after market?

I too just started a post yesterday in the 3rd GEN section regarding this.
It appears the dealer can turn them on. I believe they have the capability.
But it will probably cost you half an hours service.

LouG, yes, it is built into the truck. All trucks sold to Canada must have DRLs. The provision is there. If you need an alternate way, let me now and I will show you a way to make it happen.

Thank you both. I went to the dealer's service department and spoke with their manager. He took the car in to their bays and came back out in about 15 minutes with the DRL working.
In the lights section of the Owner's manual it says:
Daytime running lamps (DRL) (if equipped)
Turns the headlamps on at reduced intensity output. To activate:
• the ignition must be in the on position and
• the headlamp control must be in the off, autolamps or parking lamps
position.
But it doesn't tell you what to do??

Any way, they are on and both my wife and I are happy about it.

Love the Expedition. This is our third. We had a 2002, a 2008 and now this 2012.

That’s correct, EricH; I confirmed the DRL are optional on all the 2009MY packages.

I have a 2011. My DRL's come on by pulling the headlight switch out rather than twisting it... Not sure if that is "standard" or not, but it sure looks standard to me.

I thought pulling the switch out turned on the fog lights
