Just traded in my wife's 2007 Expedition EL Eddie B for a 2015 Expedition EL Limited. Love it accept that it has no navigation???!!! Don't understand why but I guess the first owner didn't want to spring for the extra money it would cost. Anyway, I am looking to replace the head unit but am having trouble finding the right radio. I need something that will "Plug & Play"
so I can still utilize the steering wheel controls, the touch screen Climate controls and the back-up camera, all of which can be controlled or viewed on the already existing 9" display. I did see on youtube a company (probably from China) that shows my exact dashboard with what looks like an awesome 9" touch screen Navigation, DVD, Phone sync, and much more.
the name of the website selling this system is Seicane.com. I have never heard of this model but that doesn't matter to me as long as it works. I think I found the model I needed but wanted to be 100% sure so I tried their "Live Chat" which turned out to be bull crap. it was just an email request. I filled it out anyway four separate times with four different questions but got no reply. I went as far as making it to the check out and that is when I saw that they wanted to charge me $165 for shipping!!
This was really excessive but could not contact them to ask why it was so much. (Sorry this is getting so verbose) Anyway what I really wanted to know is has anyone reading this ever purchased anything from them? and if so what was your opinion. question #2 Does anyone know if there is a suitable after-market replacement head unit for this vehicle? and if so what is the brand and model number.
I tried calling Crutchfield and they have nothing on the 2015.
Thanks for reading this...

that is a weird limited with no navigation...does it have the moonroof?
ford pushed dealers to order them with nav and technology stuff.
I am surprised you found one with no nav.
do you have power deploy-able running boards?
i am sure there is a way to put a system in...but fords most likley will cost you triple after you wire in the new stuff and have the computer updated,

BUT.....it could also be...the wiring is there, maybe new steering wheel, because a non nav limited is ODD.

I ordered and purchased a new 2015 Ford Expedtion Limited 4x4 - and I did NOT order the navigation system.

The Ford web site had virtually no information about the system. The Ford Expediton brochure had virtually no information about the system. The salesperson knew very little about the system. No one could answer my question on how to update the system and how much would it cost.

Ford may have pushed dealers to sell the option - but Ford did a terrible job of providing information about the system on line, in its brochures and to its sales people.

I have checked the 2016 web site information and brochures and the lack of information continues.

The vehicle does have a moon roof, but no motorized running boards. Worse yet, it has no DVD system either. My 07 was actually better equipped just started to show signs of old age so she needed to go. Looked into the factory information and there is nothing about adding Navigation system. It should just need a DVD added to read the map info like my 07 had. not sure where to go now. Willing to pay the money but even Crutchfield has nothing on the model year.

Ok not to hack this thread but truly who still uses the car navigation these days? My wife has it she never used it once and I don't blame her you go to the same places every week, you know the area and your surroundings and i can't see the navigation being any help except finding you the nearest highway if you're lost but that's where this magical device called "smart phone" comes in. It's more annoying having it making me go through all different apps just to adjust one setting and an extra light output to distract me at night.

Only way I can see it being useful is if your job is to drive all day but even then you wouldn't be driving an expedition when the more luxurious Navigator is there.

We do...my wife and I use it a lot to find places we've never been...locally and definitely for road trips...I'm not using my phone...no iPhone app radio cuz I have S7...with the automatic updates in my wife car with xm...it has never failed us...my nav unit in my truck is outdated cuz it uses a disc...so I'll be buying a new unit that I can download the nav updates...used it everyday when looking for a new house to live in...that was months of looking for a place...used it everyday...PLUS...is one less distraction...don't have to turn my music down to hear the directions...automatically mutes my music...gives directions...then music plays again...and no apps to get to my navigation...no annoying lights cuz it's on night time driving...I press 1 button...put in my address and hit start...the rest takes care of itself...

If it has moonroof as a 2015
The wire harness is in the truck
Moonroof power running boards and nav are part of a build package.
It may be pricey but the wiring is there.
The info on nav in brochure is vague.
Sales guy is a dummy for not knowing his products
It's a trend
I in past life knew more about my vehicle line than most of people at ktp.
Today sales are just getting by.
You can do it.....but it may be spendy. Unless you find a wreck or salvage
The new sync system updates regularly.no more digital card or disc.
2015 still uses the A card's. I believe it's A6
