Don't buy the warranty directly from the dealer. I passed on the warranty at the dealership and the guy even offered to knock $600 off.

I went online and found ford dealers offering warrenty at much lower prices.

If you got it already you can return it and get your money back within 30 days.

I used FloodFordESP.com, its a ford dealers site.

A couple weeks later I got a letter in the Mail from Ford confirming my selection.

Mine was a 17 with 14k miles.

ESP Contract: PremiumCARE

It goes from the in service date of the vehicle so I am covered until 6/2024 or 100k bumper to bumper for $1670. I also added the rental car option that if the car is in for warranty work they provide a rental for the duration. I thought it was a good deal.

That sounds right for a cloth interior model. 202a package XLTs bring a few grand more.

wow John M thats a steal! most of them are 35 thousand and up.

Not sure where you folks are looking but any quick search of any car classifieds or hertz puts XLTs around 25k all day long.

If this 35k is the case mine is available

An xlt with 202a (leather, heated and cooled seats ,HD tow sync 3 with navigation 4x4, power hatch, remote start) and 30k ish miles will be 32-35k regardless of location nationwide. A cloth interior non touch screen model can be had for less than 30. The first features are worth the upgrade since it will dramatically increase resale down the road.
