Good intel, the selling points for me on the Expedition or the increased leg room for kids in the back seats, easier to access third row for kids, better fuel mileage.
When we got our 2018 Expedition, these were amongst the main reasons for making our decision.
We have four kids and usually the babysitter come along for most rides. My older two are in the third row. The leg room there (especially since you can move the second row back and forth) is paramount. Third row seats also fold and accessing them via the tilt and slide function is much better than third row access in the suburban.
I’ve also found the location of the c pillar on suburban essentially robs the third row passengers of their window.
We’ve had our for fourth-gen Expy for 4 years now and 60k miles. Relatively minor repairs all covered under warranty. Looking to keep it for at least 2 more years. I generally move to a new car after 100k miles.
You won’t regret your purchase.
