Gentlemen- just went to the dealer today and they confirmed what I was concerned: first built was moved out additional 4 weels.

Now the first build is scheduled for February 14th instead January 18th.

My specific vehicle has no production date yet or ether a VIN assigned, and they have another 3 expedition orders with similar status.

They confirmed the customers usually receives the e-mail together with them.

Please can you guys cross check with your dealers.

Just as reference, I ordered an Infinite Blue Platinum Max 4 wheel drive with sand sorne seats, 2nd row bench seats and tow package, which I believe will be a quiet popular build.

Thanks for the update. Must be why we’re seeing all those “week of 2/14” posts.

I am a little surprised by the amount of orders for the 2022 honestly. Unless, you were in a “need” I could see it. New styling still growing on me personally but it is more some lack of engine choice. I would sell my 2021 Max in a heartbeat and would be ordering along side you guys if they choose to put the power boost in it. Any intelligence if they ever will? I think the hybrid is a Ford engineering home run and would be the first in its class pulling some buyers from competitors.

Well, I ordered a 2021 back in August, and it got a mid-November build date, meaning it would never arrive in time for my cross-country end-of-year vacation. So I ordered a 2022 additionally, and let the dealer know I'd probably not take the 2021.

Sure enough, a week and a half into my vacation, he calls to me confirm I didn't want the 2021, and I'm sure his manager was happy with my decision to effectively increase his allocation and sell it for retail or better instead of A Plan.

Meanwhile, the 2004 is holding up perfectly on our trip, although I did have to put on a set of tires in El Paso.

Did everyone who ordered a 2022 get an email from ford directly ? I haven't yet. I ordered around thanksgiving and the build date is now Feb middle as per the dealer. But I have never received any email from Ford till now. Should I be concerned ? Any point in calling ford directly and asking them to send me email updates ?

I would recommend not only call but actually go to your dealer.

I ordered mine in October 15, made a small payment (USD 200 I guess)and received the order confirmation e-mail from Ford in the next day.

I never received the scheduling confirmation, so I went to my dealer on Friday and they told me the 1st job has been postponed from January 18th to the week of February 14th.

They checked my order specifically and there is no built date yet assigned. They have the same situation with 3 other expedition ordered in the same dealer here in Wisconsin.

Please check with them and see if you can get further info.

Ordered 12/2. Scheduled for 2/28 per dealer. Received order confirmation from Ford same day, but no build date confirmation email yet.

Order confirmed 11/13. Received an email from dealer today that production has been scheduled for the week of 2/14. I haven’t received an update email yet from Ford though.

I've never received an email from Ford directly, but I can check the visibility system directly. I assume that the dealer simply never put my email address into the system. Lack of an email isn't necessarily a bad thing.

Thanks. How can I "check the visibility system directly" ?

I got my VIN yesterday from my dealer but haven’t received any email updates from Ford. Dealer also confirmed production is getting pushed back to mid February. My order was placed Oct 15.

I got my VIN today with a date of manufacture of February 21st. Dealer said I should have it in my possession by the end of March.

FYI to anyone thinking of ordering - I got an xplan quote in early Nov and when I went to order this week, Price Code had gone from 215 to 220, adding $500 to MSRP. I had no idea Ford would adjust pricing this early on - wish I had ordered earlier. $500 is $500, even on an $80k vehicle.

Talked to my dealer, he said, tentative start date is 2/14 but not officially confirmed, and my order (nov 1st) has not officially changed status. He said, they are still targeting Q1 delivery, but might be mid-late March. I see a few people here have received VIN numbers, so not sure if he's BS'ing or if this is still up in the air. I guess a month's time will tell.

Just came to my dealer today to ask about my order placed in October 15th -

- They confirmed they received few confirmations of retail orders of XLT and Limited to be build by week of
February 14th as well as their Vin number.

- Specifically for my Expedition and another one Platinum they have ordered there is no build date yet
assigned in the system or VIN number. He mentioned this is pretty much common the upper trims
orders from customer to be built little later due to components and assembly adjustments.

- Updates come every week on Tuesdays in the dealer system. They guess by end of the month we may
have a build date and likely March is still what they think as far as when the car will be delivered.

I say this is a dealer I can trust - let me know what you hear from yours.
