In addition to the rear window auto feature and the hands-free lift gate delete, I assume that the heated rear seats, rear climate controls are not coming back. Hard on the folks in cold climates. Now I see where the 15" screens are holding up production and are any of you seeing "features" like heated steering wheel, Auto Start-Stop, and radio availability either being flat-out deleted or holding up production of your trucks. They are for F-150's on order

My F150 Lariat was built yesterday. They deleted the Advanced Security Pack and Heated Steering Wheel on the F150.

With my Expedition Limited they kept the 15” screen but deleted the hands free tailgate and 2nd row auto windows, and made me add the HD tow. Haven’t seen anything that deletes rear heated seats or climate control (hoping those don’t get taken away).

I thought that the rear seat climate controls and heated seats were deleted long ago--maybe that was on the Lincolns as I follow that forum too.

Found my sticker there this morning. It is missing the foot operated tailgate removal - I wonder if I am going to have to fight with that gremlin or if they dropped it in 23?
I didn't even noticed that, but mine is also missing the foot activated lift gate removal. The only removal on the sticker is the 2nd row one touch window. Good catch

Ordered Aug. 23
Originally scheduled for production 2nd week of November, and it’s slowly been pushed to week of Feb. 20, 2023.

Limited 302a package, 4x2, 22” wheels, sync 4 12”, 2nd row captain chairs

Any ideas why it’s getting pushed so much while others are going into production? Dealership isn’t giving any answers.

I can say pretty confidently that the first couple of weeks of production were bumped because there were 2022 MY Expys to build yet. Several have appeared in dealer inventory over the past few days with build dates in those weeks. I cannot answer as to why yours was bumped so far and other 23s left in place. But it looks like they are going to start building them next week - hopefully they will have all the bits and be able to ship them!

Did you order the HD tow package? If not, those without it were put on chip hold. You can add it to your order and it should move your production date back to the left.

Ordered my 22 on Feb 8. Status kept changing from being built in August to finally October. Truck got built but sent offsite, presumably for chips. Changed my order on Sept 28 to the exact same truck in a 23. Limited, 302A, HD tow package, Sync 4a. Still nothing. The original order still hasn't made it's way to the dealer. 23 model yea first production is scheduled for second week of December.

For the price of the HD tow package, it's a no brainer to add it to the vehicle. I would imagine it would help resale value down the road.

The info about the HD tow package is very useful. How do you find out these things? Should this have come from my dealership?

Yes your dealer should know…but it is hard to know what they keep up with…

It was posted to as a separate thread in this forum recently.

I have found a couple of sources today that indicate the first 2023's will be produced tomorrow, 11/29. I am kind of torn trying to decide if a day one build will be a good thing (more scrutiny and care) or a bad thing (they don't know how to build them yet). Since it is virtually identical to the 2022, I am leaning toward a good thing.

Let us know if yours goes from in production to built...

I ordered pretty much the same one besides 4x4 and 15inch screen. I ordered 9/14 and have nothing yet! I have been told it’s the 302 limited package that is pushing them back. Along with the tow package. Super frustrating reading people that have ordered after and have dates already.

There are multiple posts in this forum including a separate thread dedicated to it that any Expedition order without the HD tow package will be delayed until spring due to a parts shortage. Have your dealer add the HD tow and it should move along, unless there is something else that has not yet been identified.
