I am working towards lifting my '04 with a 3" front and 2" rear lift (leveling). I have the lift spacers and they will be easy to install on top of the coil-over struts. I jettison the air-ride years ago and the coil overs have been great.

Now that I am ready for the leveling lift, I looking run the following setup:
  • 17" wheels with 35" tires.
My question is targeted for the enthusiasts that have done the following exact setup before:
  • Have you lifted your ride with a 3" front, 2" rear?
  • Are you running the 17" wheel?
  • Are you running 35" tires?

If you answered YES to the above three questions, then I would like to know more about your specific wheel and tire setup. I would like to know the following:

  • What are your wheel specs of your 17" wheel?
Mostly concerned with width and offset (back spacing)

  • What are your tire specs of the 35" tire?
I will be running the Mickey Thompson Baja ATZ P3 LT315/70R17 35X12.50R17

  • Did you have to do any body cutting to make this fit for tire clearance?

I was able to achieve what you are asking in a 2003 Navigator. I have Factory Raptor takeoff wheels and tires. I used Bilstein lift struts up front for lift, and then ran double strut spacers in the rear. This leveled the truck out, and it gets wheeled off-road regularly. Only minor rub with the wheel turned lock to lock, had it on three wheels and no rub from compression. Trimmed a 1/2 from the front air dam is all that needed to be modified.

I have a 03 Eddie Bauer 4x4
3/2 leveling kit
17x9 MT w/-9 offset
3" wheel spacers
35.12.5x17 Mud tires
The rear needed no trimming, however the front did.
Had to trim each lower valace corner the plastic under the front bumper where it stops at the wheel well. When I turned the wheels outward they would grab the plastic corners and make a popping sound.
That was all for street driving.
But being as I do allot of off-roading I had to cut the pinch welds in each wheel well on the firewall side and Hammer it flat.
I reckon that's about it.
The first picture shows where I had to trim
Picture 2 and 3 show how it sits
The last 3 pictures is with the 3"wheel spacers5c9d2cd30f53113d67bbb61808421828.jpg09aa1353c8f5dcfa8f4915388881c6f3.jpg2236323e887d90f2be3f4d76d8a8c7f8.jpga05e3fd5c3fed929350d24b5a5abf761.jpg1c3371a5ece52987b109220ec4b903d7.jpg7ed444366ce813c8e534fb5747c628bd.jpg

Nice... I'm thinking of putting 35s on my 26s and was curious how high I'd have to lift it

At least 3" in front and u will still have to trim the valace in the front and trim the inner fender pinch welds on the firewall side.
