Glass is not cracked. The glass actually gets re-used. Tracks and pully systems all get replaced.

My 2017 F150 Plat was in the shop 9 times for the sunroof. Replaced the track twice. I loved the roof, just down with that one. My FX4 Expy, no issues. I use it often

Validation for why I really don't want to own one of these things out of warranty. It's like a European car with the maintenance and repairs. My car has been reliable for 32K miles, but has stupid quality issues, like the driver seat switch trim breaking and the blower connector partially melting. While the product works great when it's functional, I think Ford's quality is questionable. Even the plastic for the dash and interior trim is rubbish. If the parts you can see are this shoddy, imagine what we can't see. I had three Hondas with moonroofs and they all made it to 200K without any moonroof issues.

I wish hyundai had a full size truck.
The hyundai palisade has better reviews than the explorer.

I’m glad you posted this. I was about ready to buy the extended warranty for a sunroof issue alone. Seeing the most common issue is relatively inexpensive and not time consuming, I’m going to hold off on buying the extended warranty.

Item 14 from the image in your link appears to be the part. Also if you put your VIN in parts.ford.com and search for “guide”. I’m not saying this is what is Broken on yours, but it does seem to be the most common failure.
