AC Changes Vents when gas peddle is pushed or let up

2004 Expedition Eddie Bauer 5.7L

When the AC is set for auto or dash vents, when I press the gas peddle the AC comes out of the defrost vents. When I let up it goes to the dash vents like it is supposed to.

Any advice how to resolve this would be most welcome from here in Florida.

I just had the same symptoms on my work van. My old Ford mechanic coworker buddy said it’s the 2 inch rubber vacuum hose from the plastic line to the vacuum reservoir connection is dry rotted. Guess what, he was spot on. Problem solved.

I found the loose vac hose. It was under the throttle body cover. Thank you all for your assistance!
