I am replacing the ac manifold in a 2005 xlt. Hard to get to the bottom connector in the line where the two ports are.
First: what size nut is that? It looks like 10mm
Second: Any ideas how to get to that bolt and the lower hose mount?
I have pulled the inner fender off and looked from underneath but it does not look like an easy access from almost any angle as it is behind the right upper A arm mount.

Ideas or tricks to get it done???

According to the Ford Service Manual there is nothing special to do in order to remove it.

"Loosen the bolt and detach the compressor manifold and tube assembly.
Discard the O-ring seals.
Remove the nut and detach the line bracket.
Position the wire harness aside.
Disconnect the field coil electrical connector.
Disconnect the crankshaft position sensor electrical connector.
Remove the nut and position the wire harness aside.
Remove the bolts and the stud.
Remove the A/C compressor"

So in a nutshell, bust your knuckles...
