Alternator

I am thinking the stock alternator is 130amps. Are there any upgrades available, like an alternator that is a direct bolt in with a higher amp rating? It's not that I am running a high end stereo, just a thought that crossed my mind.

YOu can get up to a 250 amp alternator in the stock case. In a lot of cases, it is cheaper to take the alternator to a local DC engineering shop after picking up a spare alternator from the junkyard and have them rebuild the alternator for you with the upgraded parts than to buy one that is already assembled. If you are feeling adventurous, you can also buy the parts and rebuild the alternator yourself. It isn't all that hard.
