Just bought 2017 Expy Ltd. I am tall and would like to raise the rearview mirror. I could raise it about 4 inches. Has anyone does this before?
Thanks,
Cody

I have a question. Is there a strip of plastic covering wires that come from the headliner to the mirror? I have a 2014 and the wire is there, but nothing covering it. As far as repositioning, there are glues to reattach the mirror base. Not sure best way to remove as you could damage glass.

Found this:

I would suggest a hair dryer or heat gun...
The glue on these is pretty tough, it is doing a great job sticking to s smooth surface.
Heat will be a challenge for most glues and it usually causes it to weaken if not release completely.

If you are not happy trying this, talk to a windshield shop - they can advise and have likely done this.

Good luck and keep us posted!
